Enrico Marchetti.
One of the five Italian mafia kings.
Powerful. Untouchable. Corrupt.
It started with one innocent look across a room in Paris. He was a lot older than me. A Roman god dressed in an Italian suit, surrounded by an aura I couldn’t resist.
When I ran into him again, he effortlessly pulled me under his spell. But little did I know, a night full of carnal pleasure would cost me everything.
When Enrico Marchetti wanted something, he didn’t just take it. He possessed it. Now, his sights were set on me.
There were secrets this man was keeping. They surrounded him, his dead wife, his children.
I wanted no part of it, but there was no escaping him. He had taken me to his kingdom, locked the doors, and thrown away the key.
Now the only thing left to do was fight. Even if it killed me.
Renee’s Five Star Review
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
Thorns of Death is a book that you do not want to miss. This is the story of Isla and Enrico. He is one of five Italian Mafia Kings. He is powerful, corrupt and untouchable. But he is also keeping secrets. Big ones. When he sees Isla from across a room their attractions to each other is something you can feel bleeding off the pages of this book. He is one of the most handsome men this good girl has ever seen. When they meet again she decides to go for something that she actually wants for once in her life. She has never in her life been a one night stand for anyone ever. It’s just not something that has ever interested her. Enrico is her exception to that rule. Everything about their night is perfect until she wake up getting blessed out by a woman she has never seen in her life. She is livid and wants absolutely nothing to do with him ever again. But he can’t tell her what is happening for the safety of his sons. He won’t ever do anything to put them in danger and he can’t tell Isla the truth. However he can’t forget about her and will dig and dig until he finds her. But he quickly learns there isn’t much in the world as far as information goes because her brother has been keeping secrets too and is the Pakhan of the Konstantin family. This is his chance to kill two birds with one stone. He wants her as his wife all while their union keeps peace between the two families. It is a huge feat. Can he pull it off? Well I can’t of course tell you. You will have to read to find out. I loved reading this book. Keep an open mind while reading this book. Things are certainly not as they seem. If you loved a dirty talking alpha male then you do not want to miss what Enrico has to offer.
