I received a copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review.
I knew going in this book that it might be a doozy. A.M. Madden has created a love story for two characters that may never have crossed paths but fate, if you will, lead them to each other.
As you see, Landon, is a very successful actor. Hollywood has completely taken over his life and he needs a break before he breaks! No doubt Hollywood is known for doing this to it’s people in real life. Landon definitely has a lot to work out in his head. LA will still be there when he returns from his break.
When he arrives on this remote Hawaiian island he’s not looking for human interaction. He’s wanting solitude. Time to think. Time to get his thoughts and life together. Until he’s visited by Marshmallow who’s the cutest puppy with the biggest heart for Landon.
Finding Marshmallow’s owner is a beautiful young woman who’s never heard of Landon is a miracle. What are his chances? Zara is a beautiful young woman who’s been sheltered from the world, for the most part. She’s trying to decide what she wants to do with her life before she goes to college. Of course being able to pay for it would help as well.
There are a lot of secrets wrapped up in Landon and Zara’s relationship. It’s hard to see how either of them will be able to enjoy their friendship/relationship when it’s all said and done. Though Landon is himself – more than he’s been with anyone since he joined the Hollywood fray – with Zara. It has to be in the back of your mind – right? Is he acting or is he real? How can you decipher the difference when you have nothing to compare it to?
It would be terribly hard to have a Hollywood relationship. Don’t you think? The press always in your business. Never letting you even use the bathroom w/o trying to get a photo! Gah! Back off already. How anyone can get used to all that is beyond me. It would be way too annoying if you ask me. Even if the money is as good as top dollar actors earn.
Anyway – so there comes a time where they must decide which is more important. Of course you’ll be wondering but it is a love story. You should check it out.
