Review: 5 hearts
I was given an ARC in return for an honest review
Ilsa Madden-Mills is so talented her writing sucked me in from the very beginning. I new from the beginning the Nora had a messed up life but it was an amazing journey learning how messed up and watching(in my mind) her deal with it all. She really had me connected to all of the characters. I love how the band and the whole group interact and support each other.
“Behind every beautiful thing is a world of pain.” ~Nora Blakely
I adored Nora! She was messed up and had a really horrible life. Her family was a disaster and I don’t know how she put up with everything she did. I loved that despite all the pain and crap in her life she didn’t seem like a weak victim. She is strong and a fighter. I also liked that she isn’t perfect she is quirky. She runs words through her head to make it through the day. It was nice to see someone who wasn’t perfect. She was trying to be perfect for the family until she couldn’t take it and she made her list bad list.
“Destiny is a cruel bitch.”~ Leo Tate
Oooohhh Leo Tate what is not to love? He is smoking hot and he is caring for and raising his younger brother after a tragic accident with their parent. He is a professional who owns his own business as well as a rocker. However, because he has issues of his own he doesn’t do love or relationships.
Nora and Leo
Leo sets eyes on Nora at an assembly and for both of them it’s one of those destiny connections. As you know it’s never that easy they don’t ever lock eyes and boom happily ever after. It is obvious that they should be together but the question is can they get past the ugliness and personal issues that they both face and see for themselves that they should be together? Can they keep from hurting each other too much to come back from it while they figure it out? You have to read it to see how it all works out.
This one one of the books that I could not out down and it kept me up late into the night. I couldn’t get enough of Nora and Leo. I can not wait for the second book to come out.

The Kiss in the Library
“I got one last request, and I’ll never ask again,” Leo said.
“What?” I croaked out.
He set his books on a shelf and then took mine and set them beside his. He tugged me to him until our chests were touching.
“What are you doing?” I mumbled in confusion.
He put his hands on either side of my face and slid them into my hair, letting out a breath as if in relief. “Just saying goodbye, Nora.”
“You’re going to kiss me?” I asked, tears pricking my eyes at the sadness in his face.
“Please, just this last time, Buttercup,” he said.
And with that one word, I was his.
He lowered his head, his gaze holding me captive. When our lips touched, his heated eyes stayed open and mine did, too. My mouth melted into his, moaning as his hot tongue explored the details of my tongue, my teeth, my lips. We started slow but it escalated rapidly, the passion between us burning higher and higher. He owned me with his mouth, and I was lost.
About the Author
Ilsa Madden-Mills wrote her first work at the age of twelve when she penned a little ditty about a handsome prince who had no sense. Since then, she’s always written, whether it was for work or fun. When she was young, she entered every short story and poetry contest around; when she was in college, she wrote for the university paper; when she taught English, she wrote a play along with a wonderful group of drama students.

She graduated summa cum laude with a master’s in English from an esteemed university in the South where she now resides. She spends her days with two small kids, a neurotic cat, and her Viking husband. When she’s not typing away at a story, you can find her drinking too much Diet Coke, jamming out to Pink, or checking on her carefully maintained chocolate stash.
She loves to hear from fans and fellow avid readers. Check her out on Facebook or her author website.
